BEHIND THE SCENES OF OUR NIL AD

BEHIND THE SCENES OF OUR NIL AD

For the 2024 NCAA Tournament, Tiege Hanley decided to join the conversation by filming an ad with some of the freshest young faces in the game. By offering two of the Stars of the UCONN Huskies an NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) Agreement, Guard Cam Spencer and Center Donovan Clingan were able to appear alongside Tiege Hanley products, showing off their GAME FACE.

(Tiege Hanley's "Get your GAME FACE on")

Tiege Hanley has a deep connection with the University of Connecticut.  Founder Kelley Thornton ('90) and Co-Founder Rob Hoxie ('90) started their partnership by being best friends at UCONN.  26 years later, after each pursuing their own lucrative careers, they teamed up to revolutionize men's skin care with Tiege Hanley.

Tiege has a rich history of celebrating the college basketball tournament, with an annual office bracket, catering during the tournament, and of course, games playing in the conference room.  Last year's tournament was particularly special for the company with UCONN's big win.  Not only were the founders excited, but the Tiege team had recently welcomed UCONN students from the Werth Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation to the Chicago HQ for a lunch and learn.

To add to the excitement, Tiege Hanley formed a wonderful friendship with UCONN '23 Champion Adama Sanogo when he was signed by the Chicago Bulls later that summer.

With the great success of the 2024 UCONN Men's Basketball Team leading into the tournament, and the prospect of the first repeat champions in 17 years, the Tiege Hanley team decided the time was right to bring men's skin care to men's college basketball.

Kelley Thornton lead the charge in a coordinated effort that moved production at lightning speed - just 2 weeks from inception of the idea to final published product.  Normally, a commercial of this caliber can take months to produce.  But the Tiege team moved fast to coordinate talent, crew, locations, travel, and execution across our social channels.

After making an agreement with both Spencer and Clingan, the icing on the cake came when Adama Sanogo agreed to appear in the commercial in exchange for a donation to his charity.  The Tiege Hanley donation to AdamaNation will provide 3 scholarships to students in Mali for a full year.

The finished product is a funny and inspiring ad, which will hopefully fuel more interest in the mission of helping men look and feel amazing throughout the tournament and beyond.  Go Huskies!
